ORDERS

(UNDER SECTION 144 OF THE CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE)

Imphal, the 11th April 2016

Whereas, police report has been laid before me that there is likelihood of causing serious breach of peace, disturbance to the public tranquility and grave danfger to the human lives and properties in the area which is discribed in the schedule given below, because of the unlawful activities of some-social elements for furtheerance of the civil designs;

  Whereas, such disturbance may result in serious breach of peace, disturbances of public tranquility and danger to human lives and properties;

  whereas, it has now become expedient to issue a prohibitory order for prevention of breach of peace, disturbances of public tranquility and danger to human lives and properties;

  whereas, there is emergency and circumstances do not permit serving due notice upon the public, this order is passed ex-parte under Sub-section (2) of Section 144, Cr.P.C 1973 do hereby prohibit the movement of any person outside their respective residences from 1300 hours on 11th April, 2016 until further orders.

  In case of emergencies and for persons who want to take out procession for marriage, funeral, etc. within the scheduled area, application may be made to the undersigned or to the superintendent of police, Imphal West for permission and they shall not take out procession until the written permission is obtained from authorities.

  Copies of this order are pasted on the notice boards of the District Magistrate, Imphal west District and the Superintedent of police, Imphal West District, Manipur and copies may also be sent to the DIPR and AIR, Imphal for wide publicity.

  This order shall not apply to Government agencies involved in the enforcement of law and order and other essential services.
