The Churachandpur District Legal Services Authority in association with Social Action for Human Economic Integration (SAHEI) and in collaboration with Peniel Village Authority held One Day Legal Awareness program today at Peniel Playground, Churachandpur.
The function was graced by Shri Rakesh Balwal, IPS (Superintendent of Police, Churachandpur), Shri Major Devendra, 24 Coy, 7 Assam Rifles and Shri T. Lhunkholet Haokip, Chief & Chairman of Peniel Village as Chief Guest, Guest of Honor & President of the function.
Chief Guest of the function said legal awareness is in accordance to the constitution of India and should be encouraged and Guest of the function said that his jurisdiction covers an area of about 75 villages wherein so far during his 1 year of tenure no untoward circumstances happened. Functional president said that Peniel village felt so proud and privileged that though the village is a newly established, they are grateful to the Chief Guest & Guest of Honor.
Advocate Daniel Nehlunlal Haokip, Advocate Margareth Traite and Ms. Mangnu Hanghal were the resource persons speaking to the participants. Mr Michael Lamjathang Haokip, Secretary, SAHEI have a word of gratitude and the program ended with a prayer by Shri Lunkhopao Kipgen.
