The Organizing Committee of the NEIT Trophy would like to extend our heartiest thanks to all the participating team, team/club managers and their supporters for marking the 1st historic, Neit Trophy a grand success.
The trophy was witnessed by 12 teams/clubs from various NE Indian folks in Namma Bengaluru on 5th & 6th July, 2016 at Shanthinagar Ground, Bengaluru. The tournament was declared opened by the the Mr. Michael Lamjathang Haokip, Chairman of the Neit Trophy Organizing Committee.
United FC, Manipur & Hinkhonom FC, Tripura played the final match and UFC Manipur defeated HFC Tripura by 1-0.
Shri P. Shivakumar, Corporator, 117-Shanthinagar graced the closing function as Chief Guest; Shri Dwarka Naidu, Social Worker as the Guest of Honor & Shri Michael Lamjathang Haokip graced as the President of the Function.
Chief Guest of the closing function distributed the awards for Player of the Tournament, Best Goal Keeper of the Tournament, Top-Scorer of the Tournament, the Runners-up Trophy and the Champions Trophy. Player of the Trophy was awarded to Mr. Thanglenlal Khongsai, United FC, Manipur; Best Goal Keeper of the Trophy goes to Mr. Lalminthang Kipgen, Hinkhonom FC, Tripura; Top Scorer of the Trophy goes to Lethaolen Khongsai, United FC, Manipur and Best Team goes to Simsung FC, Sikkim. And, they all were awarded with a trophy, certificates and medals.
The Champions team was awarded with a Rolling Trophy, Cash award of Rs. 10,000/-, Gold Medal and Certificate. While the Runners-up trophy awarded with a Rolling Trophy, cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-, Gold Medal and Certificates.
We also would like to thank the volunteers for the trophy especially the Referees, Lines-man, the ball management, the donors for the rolling trophy, the donation contributed towards Neit Trophy and the dignitaries.
Looking forward for the 2nd Neit Trophy, 2017 and appealing all our NE brethren to kindly prepare for the best in days to come.
